Terms of Service
Effective September 18, 2026 · getcrackers.com
Welcome to Crackers, the app for nutcracker people. These terms are a real agreement between you and Crackers (“we,” “us”) — by creating an account or using getcrackers.com, you're agreeing to them. We've kept them in plain English on purpose.
1. Your account
You need to be at least 13 to have an account. Sign-in is by email (no passwords) — keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
2. Your content
Your photos, posts, comments, and messages stay yours. By posting publicly (sharing to the feed, showcasing, or marking for sale), you give us a non-exclusive license to host and display that content in the app — that's what makes the feed, profiles, Spotted, and community photos work. You can delete your content at any time, and the license ends for deleted content.
Details you contribute to the Registry (names, makers, years, identifications) become part of the community-kept catalog and stay in it — that's the point of a shared registry.
3. House rules
Crackers is for nutcracker collecting. Don't post sexually explicit, hateful, or violent content; don't harass people; don't spam; don't post content you don't have rights to; don't misrepresent items you sell. New photos go through an automated safety check, and we may remove content or accounts that break these rules. If something looks wrong, it may be held for review — real collectors' photos never get rejected by a robot alone.
4. Buying and selling
Crackers lets collectors mark pieces for sale and message each other — but we are not part of any sale. We don't process payments, take commissions, verify items, or guarantee anything about a transaction. Deals happen directly between buyer and seller, and you're responsible for your own due diligence. Meet safely, pay through services with buyer protection, and trust your instincts.
5. Registry accuracy
The Registry is community-kept. We work to keep it accurate, but entries (including edition sizes, years, and any values shown) are collector-contributed reference information, not appraisals or guarantees. Don't make financial decisions on Registry data alone.
6. Affiliate links
Some links in Crackers are affiliate links — if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It's part of how a free app keeps its lights on.
7. Ending things
You can stop using Crackers anytime and delete your content. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. To delete your account entirely, email us and we'll take care of it.
8. The legal paragraph
Crackers is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses from transactions between users; our total liability is limited to $50. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands.
9. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll note it in the app or by email. Continuing to use Crackers after a change means you accept it.
